Teaching Musicology

Teaching has been a primary focus for Janna, and she has had the opportunity to assist with teaching each of the three undergraduate music history surveys offered at Eastman. She has also been asked to appear as a guest lecturer in doctoral seminars on both 18th- and 19th-century music. Most recently, Janna designed and taught an upper-level undergraduate elective on musical life in the context of late 18th-century society and culture, using London and Vienna as two centers of focus.
